A Couple Bought This Mansion For $1 And Turned It Into A $2.4 Million Estate

In 2006, George and Nancy Corbett purchased an abandoned home in Palmetto, Florida, for just one dollar — one dollar. As if buying a home for a dollar isn’t rare enough, they also had the home ferried along the water until it was planted in Ruskin, Florida. The home now sits in a secluded hideaway and overlooks a pristine 12,000-acre aquatic sanctuary with 20 miles of protected waterfront. George and Nancy spent $1.9 million to fix up this old historic home, and it took more than seven years to complete.

Take a look at this astounding transformation and watch the video at the end to see the full home tour.

This lavish home won the Home of the Year award in 2015. Not hard to see why.
