Janet Jackson Gives Birth To Her First Child At 50 Years Old, ‘Thrilled’ To Finally Be A Mom
2017 is looking like a great new beginning for Janet Jackson.
At 50 years old, the singer and icon gave birth to her first child with her husband Wissam Al Mana.
Throughout her pregnancy, Janet took time off from performing and stayed out of the spotlight while preparing to start a family.
The couple welcomed a baby boy, Eissa Al Mana, on January 3. He joins his parents in their little family, which began when Janet and Wissam wed in 2012.
Janet announced her pregnancy news via social media early in 2016, a month after she halted her “Unbreakable” tour. There had been speculation and news that Janet was having a tough time in September 2016 during her pregnancy, but things worked out for the best. She now has a healthy little one!
“She is excited to have her baby, and that’s the light at the end of this tunnel,” an E! News source said. A representative confirmed Jackson is “thrilled” to be a mom!
